UTAR was established as a non-for-profit University with donation from philanthropists, benefactors and the public. Hence, the hospital will also be run as a non-for-profit hospital and will be self-sustaining. Kampar Perak, Malaysia
UTAR established its Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) in 2009 to educate and train medical students to provide quality healthcare services. As part of its progressive development, the University is now setting-up a hospital in its Kampar Campus that will offer quality and affordable medical and health services in both Western Medicine and Traditional and Complementary Medicine including Chinese, Ayurvedic and Traditional Malay Medicine. The hospital will also provide clinical training for the FMHS MBBS, TCM and Health Science students.
The hospital will consist of an initial phase of 250 beds for Western Medicine and 100 beds for TCM and a future phase of additional 250 beds or more. There will be facilities for out-patient and in-patient treatment, diagnostics and treatment, medical and non-medical support, research and education, and administrative centres.
The Hospital Site
UTAR Kampar Campus is the ideal location for the hospital with its beautiful landscape and spacious land. Kampar is near Ipoh, Gopeng, Tapah, Proton City, Tanjung Malim, Teluk Intan and Malim Nawar with various adjacent communities who will require the services of the hospital.
The Hospital Development 
The project comprises an initial phase of a hospital-complex with 250 beds for Western Medicine and 100 beds for TCM and a future phase of additional 250 beds or more. There will be hospital services in Western Medicine and Traditional and Complementary Medicine including Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Medicine.
The project will include facilities for out-patient and in-patient treatment, diagnostics and treatment, medical and non-medical support, research and education, and staff, student and administrative centres.

拉曼大学是一所创建于2002年的私立高等教育学府,目前开办逾110项由大学预科至研究生各阶段教育的课程。本校更于2009年成立了医学与保健科学学院,旨在教育和培养医科学 生,传授医学与保健科学的专业知识,为国家未来的医疗服务、人才培育奠定良好的基础。为此,本校也于近期开展了在金宝校区设立一所医院的计划,将提供现代医学与传统辅助医学如中医学和阿育吠陀医学的服务。本医院将为医学与保健科学学院医学、中医以及与保健科学相关科系的学生提供临床培训。

医院的设立宗旨
本医院将为普罗大众提供可负担且有素质的医疗服务,及为学生提供临床培训。

地点
风景优美,占地广袤的拉曼大学金宝校区是设立医院的理想地点,因为金宝的地理位置优越,交通方便,比邻怡保、务边、打巴、宝腾城、丹绒马林、安顺和双溪古月等地,周边围绕着许多需要加强医疗服务的社区。

医院发展项目
硬体设备的发展方面,初期计划建立一所综合医院,设置250张西医病床和100张中医病床;后期计划增设250张或更多的病床,提供现代医学与涵盖了中医学和阿育吠陀医学的传统辅助医学的医疗服务。

医院设施包括门诊和住院设施、诊断和治疗设施、医疗和非医疗支援设施、研究和教育设施,以及教职员、学生和行政中心。

建设计划成本
施工费、设施和设备费等的总耗资预计为3.3亿令吉。
